The Thirsty Word

Created by Meredith Siemsen in January 2020, this popular production company/reading series gives voice to the work of area creative writers, connecting authors, poets, and playwrights with an in-the-room audience typically every third Thursday of the month. Featuring wordsmiths who range from green to well-seasoned, the standard Thirsty Word fare runs the gamut from humorous to curious to deeply stirring—and everything in between. Featuring six or seven writers in an evening, each Thirsty Word reading is richly flavored and singularly entertaining—offering a rewarding if not magical night out for all who attend.
