The Fairfield Art Association was formed in 1966 to foster art in Fairfield and the surrounding area. We are located in the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center at 200 N. Main in Fairfield Iowa, with a Studio and Artists Sales Gallery, and provide exhibits in 3 gallery areas: “Main Gallery” features monthly exhibits by regional & national artists, Hallway Gallery for local/area artists, and Corridor Gallery displays our permanent collection which includes works by  international artist Mauricio Lasansky, one of the fathers of 20th century American printmaking.

FAA’s Art Education program includes classes/workshops for all ages in most mediums instructed by accomplished artists. We have commissioned 5 major public sculptures and a fabric mural for our community, along with an annual summer art installation downtown for numerous years. We host Garden Tours, provide 2 annual art related scholarships to graduating FHS seniors, and are a founding contributor to the FA&CC, with continuing support.

The FAA hosts art events and works with other organizations to provide art experiences of all kinds. We are a 501c3 non-profit and Membership supported organization.
